Question: 1990s book--town founder murdered wife--kids prove it

Asked by megasaurusrex on Tue 12, Sep 2017 06:44pm :
I'm looking for a book I read in the early to mid 1990s. 3 kids (2 boys and
a girl, I believe) see the town founder's wife's grave and discuss the
urban legend about her suicide and ghost and decide to investigate it. The
wife was named Ivy and her tombstone says something about poisoned ivy.
They eventually prove the town founder killed her--with poison--and along
the way discover a drug smuggling operation in the town. I specifically
remember a scene where they find a person's rolled up dollar bill and
discover he is involved in cocaine. Something I knew nothing about at 10
years old haha. I think the cover was a yellow border around a spooky type
picture. Thank you so much for any help!
