Home » Non-fiction » #7600

Asked by xd on Mon 15, Nov 2010 09:58pm :
i first encountered this book in 6th grade
It is about a girl and who falls in love with a guy, but he and his family
are immortal, due to the fact that they have found some sort of fountain of
youth of which the drink from.
In the end the girl dies because a storm, possibly a tornado, hits her
house.
The cover, from what i remember, was a picture of a canoe, on a lake in
some sort of mountainous area.

"Tuck Everlasting" by Natalie Babbitt
"Doomed to - or blessed with - eternal life after drinking from a magic
spring, the Tuck family wanders about trying to live as inconspicuously and
comfortably as they can. When ten-year-old Winnie Foster stumbles on their
secret, the Tucks take her home and explain why living forever at one age
is less a blessing that it might seem. Complications arise when Winnie is
followed by a starnger who wants to market the spring water for a fortune"
