Question: Vatican & Satanists

Home » Fiction » #280

Asked by engtchr72 on Wed 07, Mar 2007 10:20am :
Around 1995, I read a book about Satanism in the Catholic church. A couple
(man and woman, don't think they were married or involved) find out about
it and that the cult is using the Malleus Maleficarum for nefarious
purposes. Any help is appreciated!

It sounds a bit like "The Witches' Hammer" (1994) by Jane Stanton
Hitchcock.

"...Beatrice O'Connell is confronted with the murder of her book collector
father the day after he receives an ancient book of evil spells. She feels
the police are apathetic and vows to find her father's murderer and is
convinced the answer lies in the little book. She descends to Spanish
Harlem to meet with an occultist and meets a totally erotic, sensual man.
She goes with him and realizes her inner "wolf" woman. She returns from the
wild and steamy assignation a charged and changed woman. She discovers an
evil cabal within the Catholic Church who are willing to go to any lengths
to recover the now lost book."

"In New York, a woman uncovers an occult conspiracy to reimpose the
supremacy of men in our society and destroy all feminists. Beatrice
O'Connell stumbles on it as she investigates a 15th Century grimoire, a
handbook of black magic."
